This cruise started in Barcelona to Lisbon. The first thing i noticed was how nice and layed out the everything was. It always felt like the ship was not full. Next, everything was touchless. The doors had sensors or a button on the wall that you wave your hand at. Pretty cool. There was a hand washing station at the entrance to the restaurant. All of these little features, post covid, were very nice. We ate at all the restaurants and everything was fantastic. All the meats were cooked as we requested. Fish was always fresh. The entire staff was amazing. Our butler was the best. He was always available and always right there when we arrived back to the room. The room was alway straightened out, bed made, and bathroom cleaned. The room looked like the first day, everyday.. The worst thing about the cruise is that it had to end. I've been on a few cruises with different cruise companies. This was, by far, the best cruise we have ever been on. Everything was exceptional and fantastic. 14 days and not a single complaint. When does that happen? 3,5,7,10, and 14 day, it didn't matter. I had experienced some kind of an issue on every other cruise. Again, absolutely not one issue on this Silversea cruise. This ship (the Ray) was amazing. We cannot wait for the next cruise with them.

From the moment I boarded in Barbados to the time we disembarked in Fort Lauderdale, I felt like I was among friends, and that’s all thanks to the incredible crew who made every day unforgettable. A Crew That Feels Like Family Let me start with the people—because honestly, they made all the difference. My butler, Allen, was absolutely amazing. He remembered my coffee preference before I even asked, and always had a smile and a helpful suggestion for the day ahead. One of my favorite moments was when Allen surprised us every afternoon with the “cocktail of the day.” It was such a thoughtful touch—each drink was creative, refreshing, and a perfect way to unwind before dinner. Nino, my stateroom attendant, kept my suite spotless and left little surprises that made me feel pampered. Captain Giovanni was not only highly skilled but also wonderfully personable—he took the time to chat with guests, and his passion for sailing was contagious. And Bruno, the cruise director, brought so much energy and fun to the voyage! He made sure there was always something enjoyable happening, from trivia nights to live music, and his enthusiasm was infectious. Luxury with a Personal Touch The ship itself is stunning—modern, elegant, and filled with cozy spaces to relax. My suite was a dream, with a balcony perfect for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Dining was a highlight every day, with delicious meals, creative cocktails, and the friendliest servers who quickly learned my name. I loved the variety—everything from casual lunches to gourmet dinners, all served with genuine warmth. The Best Homemade Pasta and Pizza in the World I have to say, the homemade pasta and pizza served on Silver Ray are the best I’ve ever tasted—anywhere! The pasta at La Terrazza was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly al dente—I could have eaten it every night. And the pizza at Spaccanapoli? Unbelievable. Thin, crispy, and topped with the freshest ingredients, it was a true taste of Naples right onboard. Sitting in the Mediterranean sun, enjoying a slice with a glass of champagne, was pure bliss. A Night to Remember at “La Dame” One of the absolute highlights of my trip was the super dinner we enjoyed at “La Dame,” the onboard restaurant featuring cuisine by a 2 Michelin star chef. It was a truly extraordinary experience—each course was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was intimate and elegant. I’ll never forget that evening! Memorable Adventures Ashore The ports were carefully chosen, and the excursions were well-organized and interesting. I especially enjoyed the small-group tours, which felt exclusive and gave us a chance to really connect with the destinations and fellow travelers. Final Thoughts What truly made this cruise special was the sense of community and the genuine care from the crew. Allen, Nino, Captain Giovanni, and Bruno—thank you for making my trip so memorable! I have been told that silver seems was the best , how ever we are all so different to take a recommendation by reviews . I though the ship was so different that was annoying , the Japanese restaurant , was directed by a Indian cheff , no Japanese discipline , the observation lounge has no bar , th pool is to the side , you can only be in 75% of the ship , this means no Bow experience , which for me I like to see where we are heading and feel part of it , public bathroom electronic door openings and not easy to find , I would like to say that there is a mix of employees that make you feel welcome and there effort is genuine in most cases , how ever I will not be returning to silver seas unless absolutely necessary and if they put back the casino on Silver Endevouir , since the design of this ship / Endeavoir Ex Crystal ) meets my expectation
