This ship is aged and I believe the ship was supposed to go through an amplification like the sister ship Mariner but never did and I could tell the difference. So no escape room, tiki bar, or Lazer tag. Fortunately, this cruise is port heavy so a lot of time is spent on land. The weather was great and the waters are crystal clear. I learned that it's cheaper to book a tour at port in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. And the website The Spoon has a good history and food tour in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The cruise shore excursion for St. Thomas brought us to the main spots on the island as advertised but the transport was not comfortable. It's an open air vehicle with very narrow bench seats. Getting on and off at stops was difficult for the older guests and anyone plus sized. The stop at Magens Bay Beach was for 2 hours which is perfect for me but 85% of the beach is beach chairs you have to pay $20 USD for. You have to walk to the end of the beach to get open sand to lay out on for free. Cabin: on this ship decks 2 & 3 are not connected so you have to go up and around to get to aft of ship. The sink plug was broken, shower head doesn't stay in place. I did ask for maintenance to come but they didn't stop by. These are mild inconveniences though. Casino: it's small and cramped. Which would have been unnoticeable to me (a non gambler), except it's what most people will have to weave through to get from the theater to studio B and Main dinning. Entertainment/activity: ice skating show was generally very good. This cruise was Comedy heavy which I enjoyed but if you prefer big music production shows you would be disappointed. there were only 1 of those unless you count the farewell show. The sports deck is outdoors so wind is a variable in your game. Not sure why but no balloon drop on this cruise, It was on the cruise compass but then removed. I've had better Cruise directors in the past.... Bingo: Bingo was hosted in Studio B (ice skating theater). There are not enough tables since it's mostly theater seating. Some people put their sheets on the floor to mark. Host has questionable pronunciation of bingo numbers to make sure to watch the screens. Food: breakfast was good but repetitive which is normal. Lunch options were amazing but windjammer does not have enough tables to accommodate the lunch rush (1 pm). Main dining for dinner is standard and pretty fast service. The cocktails out of the main dining is questionable. Guest at the table next to me ordered a mojito that did not come with mint... Do go check out the Windjammer after main dining as they usually have better dessert options like a crepe and churro station, hot chocolate and donuts. Overall 3.8 stars. It's still a good cruise with beautiful ports. Better than not being on a cruise. Good food, house keeping is on a level of a basic hotel rather than what I'm accustomed to on cruises but rooms were turned down and cleaned everyday. They forgot my departure tags and info so I had to make a call to the stateroom attendant to have them delivered separately. Embarkation and debarkation was very smooth, Port Canaveral works as a well oiled machine.
