I have just returned from a 5 day cruise on Adventure of the Seas. Although the ship is 25 years old it was far from a rust bucket. The maintenance crew have done a great job keeping it looking so good. From the port to the ship is a fair amount of walking, so if you have mobility issues I'd recommend getting/booking a wheelchair. The crew were nice and friendly and remember your name and things you might like.eg.towel animals, coke with ice etc. This helps to make you feel a little special that someone has taken the time to remember something small, that others might think is trivial, about you. Each day there is a wide variety of food in the main buffet lounge, the staff are quick to clear the tables and wipe down for the next guests. There are plenty of hand sanitizers around the ship and eating venues. Lots of activities for every age and every cruiser from rock climbing to sunbathing - loved the live entertainment (music and productions). Cabins are a little on the small side if you have 3 adults sharing, even with a balcony. Cabins are serviced daily. There's a couple of hidden financial extras - spa raffle, foot analysis and win a piece of art work. Don't feel pressured to part with your money! I didn't get the internet package but a few people did and said it wasn't great. The only issue I had this time was with accessibility. Yes they have great accessibility options for deaf cruisers, wheelchair access etc. However, I had injured my knee and found that every seating was low which aggravated my knee injury (couldn't bend knee without excruciating pain). Even in the disabled designated area in the buffet lounge the chairs and table were not height adjustable. The disabled toilets were spacious but the seat was also low. The theatre was also the same. I needed assistance to get in and out of the chairs. I had to take extra painkillers every day as there was no where to sit where I didn't need to bend my knee at a 90 degree angle. I realise that my knee injury isn't a permanent issue, but for taller people it must also be an issue. Hopefully, for the next new ship R.C. will take this into account.
