Norwegian Jewel

Norwegian Jewel

As the namesake of our "Jewel Class" cruise ships, you can bet Norwegian Jewel has it all. As well as offering some of the largest suites at sea, there are staterooms to accommodate every style. When it comes to entertainment, this ship's filled with excitement: a large variety of dining options, vibrant bars and nightclubs, and that's just the beginning. Come aboard and venture into the wild on an Alaska Cruise. Go from scenic views to city views on an Asia Cruise. Toss your timetable to the breeze on a Caribbean cruise. Explore old traditions and stunning towns when you cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Or experience unique and immersive itineraries on an Extraordinary Journey. Whichever destination you choose, get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

Exquisitely Refurbished

We've revamped everything from the carpets to the chandeliers and created brand new places and spaces in our most extensive ship renovation yet. Unwind in luxury and enjoy the breathtaking views from your spacious balcony in the new, exquisitely finished Haven Deluxe Owner's Suites. The brand-new Pit Stop, a 1950's American bar, takes you back to the era when classic cars sported chrome finishes. And dance the night away at Bliss Ultra Lounge, the newest hot spot on the club scene. Come aboard the newly polished Norwegian Jewel and see what makes her shine.

Ship Reviews

We stayed in the Haven and have sailed on mostly Norwegian for 30 years. Food in the restaurants was good but the lobster was old and the Chin - Chin restaurant had no real proper taste for the dishes that were the entrees. The base was the taste of Campell's celery soup. Then I found what I believe was plastic in the Chicken almond entree and they kept telling me it was just undercooked rice noodles. My husband had to show the chief that the plastic would bend and not break. We noticed the restaurant was fairly empty, denoting an issue with the food if others are not coming in. They also had listed the cost at $50.00 per person but when we got there it was up to $60. But this was not the biggest issue. Debarking was the real issue. Do not try and get and Uber off the ship. Our drivers came 3 times to get us and we could not make our way to the door for the exit as the port authority would not let you leave the building to get into your Uber. People kept pushing through the line so that it was a crushing issue occurring but no one at the door would move forward due to the people not letting them out. We final backed out of the crowd and went out the pedestrian exit only to find out they would not let us get a car there or enter back into the building. Take the taxi line or walk out away from the port authority and call for an Uber. We got a Lyft to come get us that could not pick up his call due to the mess. We watched the port authority have a screaming match at a driver trying to pick up his passenger at the pedestrian exit. We did talk to the port authority about the mess but Norwegian should have warned people of this issue getting an Uber at this Canadian drop off in Quebec. Crushing people and forcing them inside a building when they are trying to exit to the Uber driver is wrong and someone could have been critical hurt. The port authority and Norwegian deserve a 1 for this part of the trip.

My husband and I just sailed 7 days on Norwegian Jewel from Boston to Quebec City in Suite, category S4. The Butler, Concierge, and Housekeeping staff were all wonderful! We love sailing in the Suite and Haven categories with Norwegian and the service did not disappoint! This suite was designed to accommodate a family… It had a master bedroom and bath, as well as a small bedroom and extra bath. Although we did not need the extra bedroom, we did appreciate having two bathroom facilities in our room as well as the full double sink and dressing area in the master. The master shower was incredible! It was a huge walk-in with wall windows and three modes of water, dispersion… waterfall, handheld, and wall jets. This was our fifth sailing with Norwegian and we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful staff and service provided by this cruise. The food was amazing! We enjoyed Cagney‘s, La Cucina, Le Bistro and Teppanyaki, as well as the Tzars Palace and O’Sheehan’s. All of the meals were beautifully presented and delicious! A perk for Suite and Haven guests is the daily opportunity to eat breakfast and lunch in the Cagneys or Moderno restaurants. This is such a nice thing because it is a relaxing, enjoyable meal without the hustle and bustle of the buffet. We did not eat in the buffet area, but when passing through, the food looked and smelled wonderful there as well! The ship was kept very clean and well managed. All staff were very friendly! A common issue among passengers was figuring out how to get from one end of the ship to the other… Because it is a smaller ship and they are trying to incorporate so many opportunities, you often have to go to different floors via specific elevators to transfer to the other end of the ship and then return to the floor you were on to get to the place you’re headed to. Additionally, we found some places were located within others… We were very confused looking for the Teppanyaki restaurant only to find out. It was actually inside the Chin Chin restaurant. The shows were very entertaining and there are special reserved areas for Suite and Haven guests so that is an extra perk as well! There was not a Haven restaurant on this ship, but they did have a Haven courtyard specific to the Haven guests. Another perk for suite and Haven guests is priority embarkation, and debarkation… this is really nice! We love sailing with Norwegian!
