Stylish designer interiors combine clean lines and every modern comfort with the warmth of traditional natural wood, brass and marble, bringing each stunning venue on this ship its own unique feel.
Writing this review as I was a bit worried before my trip due to the negative reviews. For context, I am a woman in my 30s and travelled with my family and partner, group of 6 total. We had a balcony suite on deck 10 and the easy package for drinks. Even though I usually prefer more of a quiet luxury/boutique hotel type holiday, I had a great time on the MSC Sinfonia. I think it's a particularly fun experience for families with members of different generations, or bigger groups in general. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as a trip with my partner only. Embarkation/disembarkation: was very smooth and well organised, staff were very nice and had drinks on arrival Cabin: our cabin was very spacious with a decently large balcony. Our assigned attendants were lovely and did a great job with our rooms, which were serviced daily. Everything was clean and we had a very large wardrobe. The only negative I can say is that the room was a bit dated, which we expected knowing the age of the ship. Food: The all-you-can-eat buffet was overall okay. There were some really tasty options, especially the carvery station, while some didn't look as appetising. There was enough on offer that everyone found something they liked each day. The restaurant meals in the evening were very nice, and the service was excellent. Only complaint is that the 21.30h slot is a bit late after a full day of activities, even for a group of Spaniards like us who are used to eating late. I would recommend requesting the 1st dinner slot (19h). Easy package had unlimited drinks with the exception of the premium cocktails. We were happy with this package and didn't think it necessary to upgrade. We enjoyed the mojitos and gin&tonics. Activities: there were so many things to do on board you could never get bored. We enjoyed the shows at the theater and the themed parties. We also went to Manhattan bar every evening for drinks and live music - shoutout to their staff who were incredibly kind, and the Seashore band who are super talented. Excursions: we decided not to go with the MSC excursions and found a third party provider. In Athens we hired a private driver to take us sightseeing/shopping and had lunch at an amazing taverna. Ports: it was our first time in Greece and it was a great way to get to know the different islands. Athens and Kefallonia were our favourites and we'll definitely visit again in the future. Passengers: I would say 70-80% were Italian, and it was the main language spoken on the cruise, though the first language of all announcements was English. There was a good amount of Spaniards on board, and some French/German/Portuguese. The entertainment is definitely more catered to Italian customers. We went on the first week of June and there weren't too many kids/groups of teenagers which was our goal. To summarise: Positives - excellent service, activities & entertainment, destinations, embarkation/disembarkation & organisation Negatives - ship is a bit dated, if you're not European/Italian you may not recognise as many of the songs performed
