Warm caramel and honey-colored tones adorn the room while a French balcony—available in most staterooms—allows you to indulge in scenic views. Follow your nose to the Main Restaurant or clink glasses in the bar, where rich, chocolate-hued woods bring beauty to the backdrop of your every craving. The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant is the cherry on top of an already exquisite culinary experience on board that includes lunch and dinners paired with unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks. And should you wish to stay active, a Sun Deck walking track, fitness room and a fleet of onboard bicycles are ready and waiting to assist you on your wellness journey.
The AmaDolce crew provides A+ service. They are friendly, helpful, and very efficient. They got all the passengers off to the excursions without a hitch. The itinerary is very good with respect to visiting many key locations in Bordeaux. The food on board was mediocre at best. There were a couple of nights where my wife's fish was terrible. Most nights the meat offering was of poor quality. The night before the last night the beef entree was terrific. Reminded me of college when the dining hall would pull out all the stops the day before students went home for vacation. The wines offered were very good and plentiful and the desserts were terrific. The excursions were not exceptional. One of the guides knew very little about the subject matter and just made things up. Other guides were good but the vineyard tastings were mediocre. That's the central point of the trip to taste great wine. That just didn't happen until we went off on our own to a great store with great wines to taste.
The best rating I can give is for our tour manager, Jorge. Jorge was always very aware of every detail and everyone, never hesitating to insure all was as it should be, etc. He had a wonderful and cheerful disposition, kind and fun with everyone. We were not aware of the long bus rides we would take after disembarking and continuing on to the Loure Valley, it was never noted, and we did not like being on a bus for many hours at a time. We loved the before tour in Bilbao and San Sabastian - highly recommend, but not so much the Loure Valley bus tours. Too many details of each castle, etc. The hotel at CDG was excellent and a perfect and easy location for departure the next day. The bathroom in our room (same in all rooms) was very small, there was very little space for toiletries. The closet was spacious; the bed was comfortable. The cleaning crew were friendly, excellent and a great shout out to the hairdresser on our cruise, he was extremely talented. The captain and manager and all the staff were all attentive and kind.
The chef provided the most Amazing food. The provided wine is from local markets. Would love to find some of the wine served on board when I returned home. The chefs restaurant is a culinary experience. Exceptional service from every level of staff. . Friendly staff went out of their way to ensure an outstanding vacation. Local entertainment got the entire bar hopping. The provided excursions offer a great choice of Multiple options. The small capacity allows for interaction of other passengers and making new friends to socialize with through out the trip. Cabins are small so don’t except a lavish room. But with the little time you spend in your cabin, it doesn’t matter. This was My 3rd trip with AMA Waterways and their service never disappoints. Have another trip already planned and I can’t wait to experience another part of France with AMA Waterways. Just love this form of travel.

Three Activity Levels
Some guests wish to journey further and move at a quicker pace during their excursions while others prefer more time to take photos or require frequent rests. To ensure every guest may explore at their own comfort level, we offer our tours at three distinct activity levels, ensuring even our most “gentle walkers” are not left behind – because why settle for anything less than perfect on your long-awaited vacation?
Inclusive and Accommodating
Our convenient Quietvox audio devices ensure you can hear your tour guide clearly amidst the hustle and bustle of cities and at the volume most comfortable for you. We also offer a limited number of Nordic walking sticks and sport seats for guests who need extra support or periodic breaks.

With fewer guests on board, we have space for luxurious amenities. Relax with a soothing massage or visit the hair salon after a day of exploring, stay in shape with a small group wellness activity led by a professionally trained Wellness Host, work out in the fitness room or watch breathtaking castles glide by while enjoying a cocktail up on the Sun Deck. You can also take a dip in our sun-deck pool with a swim-up bar. On any of our ships, you can also recharge from the comfort of your stateroom by watching a Hollywood blockbuster or a variety of other English-language programming on your personal Entertainment-On-Demand system.
