Wind Star features wide open, teak decks—quite unusual for small ships. With over 10,000 square feet of open deck space, guests will find hidden nooks for private moments giving them a feeling of being on their own private veranda.
The Wind Star offers 4 decks totaling 10,200 sq ft (948 sq m). The ship measures 360 ft (110 m)by 52.1 (15.8 m) ft and carries 4 masts at 204 ft (62 m). There are seven triangular, self-furling, computer operated sails with almost 27,000 sq. ft (2,600 sq. m) of Dacron surface area. Three diesel electric generating set and 1 electrical propulsion motor. The ship sails at 10-12 knots with engines and up to 15 knots with wind and engines.
